New PortMedia Staff Member Excited to Serve the Community

Newburyport, MA March 26, 2013: Dana Healy is the newest addition to the PortMedia crew as the Community Production and Training Coordinator.

Healy is transitioning from Danvers Community Access Television, where she spent over six years as the Public Access Coordinator. She holds a Masters in Art Education from Endicott College where she focused on producing curriculum for public access television. She also holds a BA in video production and photography from Franklin Pierce University. She is excited to bring her ideas and programs to the Newburyport community. Healy states, “I like to create unique lesson plans that energizes students; I think Newburyport will be a great fit.”
Healy has also served on the Board of Directors for Cape Ann Regional Television, as a contractor for Shrewsbury Media Connection as well as the Media Specialist for Paul Newman’s Double H Ranch. She hopes to draw from all these past positions to better serve the Newburyport community. In her thirteen years in public access, she has won four national awards but takes the most pride when her students win. She looks forward to working with PortMedia and Newburyport.
